Fragments

To find a connection with the abandoned, isolated, and empty – a veiled beauty within the world – we must lose a part of ourselves within these places to find that we gain more through experience and passage of time. The abandoned, isolated, and empty, they are not just empty vessels – they are places that harbor memories, connection with family, and ideas of home, or places imbued in our realities, tailoring us to who we are today. Unraveling the veil before these desolate places reveal much about our identity, and how we see self within the world we occupy.

Fragments is a fine art autobiographic series that explores self-identity, childhood, adulthood, memories, experiences, and existence as a means for catharsis. The story within each photograph unfolds by revealing both positive and negative, intimate, and personal moments, exploring the merger between space and place. How we perceive place and self are narratives of place. We imbue place with meaning, and uniting self with place creates a spiritual experience, mending the raw and emotional together.
